All the way from Japan, Detroit City Metal reaches America with the demonic lead singer Krauser singing his unspeakable acts of hate, violence and acts of sexuality to the American audience.

It is the number one anime OVA series if not the most popular manga in the world today. The series quickly gained popularity and notoriety for it’s over the top parody of metal culture. It is a fast rising independent Death Metal band with excess vulgar and with the quirky humour usually seen in a manga anime. Soichi Negishi is the band’s lead singer living a double life as the infamous Johannes Krauser II when on stage and Negishi as the timid pop – music loving college graduate who grew up in a farm while Krause is the demonic character fabled to have committed horrible crimes but not of them are true.

Negishi tries to balance his life as the infamous metal singer Krauser whom he hates and his normal life. His two personalities collide making his private life very difficult. He goes to great lengths to hide his Krauser persona from family and friends at any costs and keeping his identity a secret which usually results into different disastrous consequences for those around him. He accidentally sabotages careers, ruins dates, wedding and other occasions with his hilarious antics. On stage, they usually end up fighting with other bands whom Krauser inevitably upstages but due to freak accidents gets misinterpreted by the DMC fans.

America, DMC is coming, all the way from Japan!

This year’s San Diego Comic-Con, the yearly gathering of comic book and pop culture aficionados, is ending today and boy do we wish we could have gone. We’ve been checking out photos from the convention all weekend, and from the looks of it there was much fun to be had (and gratuitous “Star Wars” references to be seen). Comic book lovers go for the panels, seminars, and booths with inside information on the year’s best nerd-approved culture, but we’d head to SD just for the awesome displays of fan dedication alone. Check out some of the best photos from the first two days, and decide for yourself if it looks like a good time. In our opinion, we could never get enough fat Batman sightings.

The makeup for one’s cosplay outfit can be one of the most important parts of any outfit. It is best to take a look at a few tips with regards to determining how to handle cosplay makeup.

It helps to use little eyeliner. Eyeliner is something that can cause a person’s eyes to look smaller. Using too much eyeliner can easily impact the ability of a person’s eyes to stand out. This is vital because of how many anime characters have eyes that can easily stand out from other parts of their faces.

Black mascara can be used on the eyes though. This can work to add to the black lashes that a character can have. It will also be used to make it easier for a person to be able to get one’s eyes to match the rest of the costume.

It is also good to avoid using lipstick. Any lipstick that is used should be clean in its appearance. After all, the lips are not going to be too intense in terms of how they will appear.

The eyebrows and other parts of one’s body hair should be able to match the colors of one’s hairstyle. This is vital because of how the eyebrows will be more appealing when they match the rest of one’s hair. The best thing to do is to consider finding a cosplay character that has the same hair color as that of what one’s natural hair color is. This can be used to make it easier for a person to have a more appealing look without having to give out too much debt.

All makeup should be set into the face with a powder. This will work to make it easier for the makeup to absorb oils on the face. It can also be used to make it so the makeup will not smudge up and look unusual.

Finally a person should consider the width of one’s face. A person who wants to have a face that is not too wide should use a dark type of powder. This can be used to make it easier for the face to look slim.

These cosplay makeup tips are some of the best tips for anyone to take a look at. These tips can work to make it easier for one’s appearance to look its best and to be easy for any cosplay enthusiast to handle.

How to Get Ready for a Cosplay Game?

July 20, 2010 - 5:24 am No Comments

Halloween gives you the opportunity to get a costume play only once a year. However, if you are a follower of cosplay and love to get out on the street with fellow cosplayers to enjoy your holidays then dressing all up as your favorite anime or manga character would be really a good thing to do, and unlike Halloween, cosplay games can be enjoyed all round the year.

Many people dress up as their favorite characters and head out on a beach or a private show to portray an entire game of anime. Like a themed party, there have been instances where people are advised to dress up as any character of a particular manga series.

So if you are one of the attendees at the party then you should create an image in your mind about the character that will perfectly look good on you. You should have in mind the character specifications such as personality, dress and body type, height, moral ethics and also last but not the least the body language. In cosplay you not only imitate the costumes but the entire character and hence you have to keep all this in mind before zeroing down on a character you wish to imitate.

Beware of Cosplay Wigs

July 19, 2010 - 2:14 am No Comments

There are many people who need cosplay wigs for all sorts of different types of characters. These cosplay wigs can work in a variety of styles and colors. These are great for people who do not have the hair length or color to work with a certain type of character. However, although they can be convenient it will help to watch for a couple of important considerations with regards to cosplay wigs.

It will help to watch out with regards to how well the wig can fit onto the head. Some wigs will be one size fits all wigs. These should be avoided. They can easily slip off and in many cases can look awkward. Something that can be measured with one’s head in mind and can work without creating too much of an unusual appearance can help.

Also, it will help to avoid ones that are made with plastic materials. These can create an unrealistic shine that is going to create an impression that the material that a person is using is a fake appearance. This is not something that a person should be dealing with but rather something that should be avoided. This is needed so it will be easier to see that the hair looks more authentic.

A good tip to use is to consider a wig that is made with materials like nylon or cotton. These are materials that are not going to create a great deal of shine and will make the hair look somewhat realistic.

Another thing to do is to take a look at the netting and how it fits on the head. It will help to see that the netting can work to push one’s natural hair down well enough to where a good fit can work. It will help to know that some cosplay wigs on the market have weak nettings that can be too thin.

The last tip to use is to watch for how a wig can be taken care of. It is very easy for the fake hairs on a typical cosplay wig to fall out while the wig is being maintained. This is not something that can be easy to take care of.

These are all risks to watch for with cosplay wigs. These risks are ones that should be used with regards to these cosplay costume props. It will help to proceed with caution if a cosplay wig is going to be used.
